There are thousands of snowsports books, videos, webinars, clinics, events, blogs, websites, movies to choose from when studying the sport. The truth is, most of this content is derived from a mix of books and experience. By attending on-snow clinics in person or watching videos, you are participating in a giant game of telephone. Each repetition of the information is diluted and warped to its new context. The most time efficient method of studying is source content, most likely found in books.
The Reading List provides a starting point for broadening your knowledge of snowsports via recommendations on the topics of science, history and alternative pedagogy, as well as the traditional American content.
